the quest for irish soda bread

now is the time of year that we go looking fro irish soda bread.

this is a more or less new thing since i discovered it at a local salad bar 4-5 years ago.

every year the wal-mart website says they don't have it and the employees don't have a clue about it, but 3-4 loaves will appear on the clearance bakery cart. so we'll grab them, put them in the freezer are have like a loaf a week until it's gone.
