too early for this

the local convenience store has a fall-spiced cookie out already (in addition to pumpkin-shaped candies they've ad for a week or so.) it's not even september!

it used to be that stuff was closer to the actual season it's supposed to be in. back to school stuff was at the end of july, now it's right after the fourth of july stuff is moved out. halloween-themed things didn't start showing up until at least mid-september. thanksgiving things came out right after halloween & christmas followed right after turkey day. now those three holidays are combined into hallow-thanks-mas. bleh!

and can we all agree that the pumpkin spice stuff for fall & peppermint stuff in winter is just foo much?

i want sandwiches

my brother & i make these sandwiches every so often that are almost dagwood-like. with 3 or 4 kinds of meat, almost that many kinds of cheese, with some sort of condiment. on better than supermarket bread (some times from panera bread) & doritos to not only to have along with them, but also to put on the sandwich and crush it slightly to break up the chips.

we haven't done this in a while. we keep meaning to, but it always falls through.

still hot & humid, but with less rain though.

at least that's something.

new BK sandwiches

the extra long pulled pork & the bacon mozzarella cheeseburger. the pulled pork was really nothing special and i need to learn that pulled pork nothing to get worked up about.
the second sandwich was much better, IMHO. i might even get it again.

they have a "red velvet" oreo shake which just seems to be the regular one with red food dye in it. so i'm not interested in it.
