too early for this

spotted my first pumpkin-flavored item in the supermarket the other day. it was  pumpkin pie yogurt (i can't recall the brand) so i decided to try it.

it didn't taste too much like pumpkin, but had some spice to it.

unfortunately it "came back" later on.

i doubt i'll be doing the big "try all of the pumpkin spice stuff" think this fall. unless i find something i didn't try before.

adventures in food

wal-mart had some sort of fancy snack things under their own brand so brother & i decided to try a couple.

they were the hard salami, provolone cheese & cheddar sesame sticks and the prosciutto, provolone cheese & mini bread sticks.

first of all  prosciutto is not all they say it is. it was chewy, almost gummy & oddly spicy. and the accompanying bread sticks were only slightly better than chewing actual sticks.

the cheddar sesame sticks had not cheddar at all and seemed kind of spicy.

add prosciutto to the list of foodstuffs that are overrated. this list includes; avocado, pesto, guacamole & snickerdoodles.  

wal-mart ice cream sandwiches

they have some fancy stuff. 6 to a package & round cookies the two we tried were s'more & black cherry. I liked the s'mores better. but then i don't like cherry.

the other two we tried were the standard 12 in a pack with the rectangle cookies. the first was sea salt caramel, which had a nice subtle flavor. the second; cotton candy was too subtle. as in no flavor at all, just the slight smell of cotton candy like every third sniff. in a blind taste-test you probably couldn't tell the difference between that and vanilla. except the vanilla ones have a choclate cookie & the CC ones had vanilla.

the heat of summer

i hate it.

rain doesn't help, just makes things humid.

fed up with blogthings

for nearly as long as i've had this blog i've been doing blogthing quizzes. last month they didn't have the title of the result of the one i did for my birthday. this month they didn't have what the result means for the one i did for my brother's birthday! i've tried other quizzes, i even tried doing them on chrome.
bbcode doesn't work here the code for live journal & word press is the same (without what the result means) basically it's usellee!

i'm quitting them after this round of birthday stuff (unless something changes) because i can use the html template from mine to fill in stuff.
