the past few days it's been getting colder & will stay that way for a bit. that's typical of january.
not too much snow though.

hope you have a nice holiday today. or a nice wednesday, if you don't celebrate.
be careful driving tonight. if you're drinking, call a cab or car hire thing. and "buzzed" driving is just as bad as drunk driving.
if you're braving the stores for sales, or to return something tomorrow i wish you luck
it was in the 20s last week, with some snow.
and now it's in the 30s this week. just a few weeks ago it was unseasonably warm.
from aldi we got truffle goat cheese. rather sharp, maybe a bit bitter. not sure if that's the goat cheese or the truffle. we've had goat cheese before & it's a bit sharp-ish, so it's possibly both.
from wal-mart we got what they call a "cheese flight" that has irish cheddar, smoked gouda and dijon & herb rubbed fontal. we've had irish cheddar & (non-smoked) gouda before, but not fontal. which is why we got this thing. you can smell the smoke on the gouda, but don't really taste it. the fontal is fairly mild and you taste some of the dijon & herbs.
also from wal-mart we got cracker barrel artisan flavors truffle cheddar where you can taste a bit of bitter-ish truffle & dill havarti that has a bit of an herbal taste.
we had all of this with the target entertainment crackers, which are ok. not quite as good as wal-mart's or aldi's.
hope you have a nice holiday and can find something in the sales tomorrow.
we're not doing the traditional foods (except for the turkey, my brother hats it & we would get ham) this year. didn't do them last year either. it's just such a hassle to make up all that stuff & then have leftovers for like 4 days.
it's a reese's peanut butter cup with some kind of chocolate goo layer on the bottom. in their larger than normal size.
noting special. and nothing to get again.
we had some 80 degree days & the start of the month. with 30 or 40 degree nights.
it's in the 60s now, but it would be in the 50s at least. normally i would be getting out my fall/winter stuff by now. instead, i just take out pants when i need them.
