new year's eve 2022

 if you had a bad year, i hope the next one is better. if you had a good year, i hope the next one is just as good.

if you're going to a party tonight, don't drink and drive. and remember "buzzed" driving is just as bad as drunk driving.

not quite winter

 but it's cold!

next week there are going to be signal digit lows (F). some of the lowest temps (highs) since the 1980s.

there will be some snow too. amounts to be determined.

yet another cake

 quite possibly the last one.

it was duncan hines perfectly moist strawberry supreme with betty crocker rich and creamy milk chocolate frosting. basically, a chocolate covered strawberry.

the cake smelled of strawberries like it should, but didn't really taste like it.

the frosting didn't really taste like chocolate. this is most likely the end of the cake mix & frosting adventures. we're considering brownie mix next.

stroopwafel ice cream sandwiches

 got them from wal-mart. they're O.K. nothing to really recommend them.

a think layer of ice cream, but the flavor was lackluster.
